Vacancy Details

We are looking to recruit a part time domestic assistant/kitchen assistant to support Priory Court Nursing Care Home. You will be supporting by cleaning the home and kitchen, and helping with laundry.

Position: Domestic Assistant/Kitchen Assistant
Location: Priory Court Nursing Care Home
21 hours per week


Working to ensure that the home is cleaned and maintained to a high standard in accordance with Century Healthcare Homes’ guidelines and cleaning schedule, in addition to the individual needs and requirements of the residents.


To ensure that all areas of the home are cleaned to a high standard in compliance with the specific cleaning guidelines and schedules and that they effectively meet the residents’ and homes needs.
To respect and maintain confidentiality of resident’s personal information at all times, including their right to privacy, dignity and choice.
To understand and comply with the statutory and legal requirements that are relevant such as Health & Safety, COSHH, Fire Safety and all aspects of the Care Standards Act, to maintain safety throughout the home.
Ensure all equipment used is in full, safe working order and immediately report any faults by completing the maintenance sheet.
Check all areas of the home are supplied with adequate housekeeping items and inform your Line Manager of any shortages.
Always be alert and use your own initiative, spot clean any spillages as they occur.
Be an active and helpful member of the team, contribute to meetings, attend training sessions and ensure that the home is a friendly and supportive working environment.
Ensure that their mandatory training is maintained.
Participate in individual supervision, training and appraisal, as agreed with your line manager.
Safeguard at all times the confidentiality of information relating to staff and residents.
Undertake any other operational duties identified by your line manager.
