My Life is seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Workers / Personal Assistants to join our friendly team in our beautiful respite chalets. This is a unique role where you will be providing high-quality care and support to individuals who need a break in a safe, relaxing environment.

About My Life:

My Life was established in 2012 as a result of a group of people with disabilities and their families wanting something different to traditional types of health/social care services and wanting more choice and control over their own lives. We pride ourselves on being a unique service. We offer personalised support to a diverse range of individuals living in their own homes and in our respite chalets. Each person has their own dedicated team, delivering support that’s tailored specifically to their needs and preferences. This isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach—it’s about making sense for them and making a difference.

About the Role:

Our respite chalets offer a home-from-home environment, where guests receive the care they need while maintaining their independence. As a Support Worker / Personal Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring each person has a comfortable, enjoyable, and fulfilling stay.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Living Support: Assisting with personal care, meal prep, and light household tasks within the chalets.
Personalised care: Providing specialist care to each individual, including complex care needs, learning disabilities, mental health issues and autism.
Encourage independence: Assisting with life skills such as meal preparation and supporting individuals in social and recreational activities tailored to their interests.
Be a Friendly Confidant: Build a genuine connection with individuals, providing companionship, encouragement, and positivity every day.
About You:

Passionate about supporting others: You’re naturally caring and enjoy helping others feel safe, respected, and empowered.
Great communication skills – You can easily connect with individuals from all walks of life and communicate with both the people you support and your team.
Adaptable and flexible – Every day brings something different, and you’re happy to take on new challenges while ensuring the highest standards of care.
Positive, can-do attitude – You believe in the power of independence, and you’re committed to helping others achieve their personal goals, no matter how big or small.
Values teamwork – You thrive in a collaborative environment, knowing the importance of working together for the best outcomes for the people you support.
Driver’s License (Preferred): A license would be ideal to help guests enjoy outings in the community.
