Creative Support is a national, fast-growing not-for-profit organisation providing support to individuals with a wide range of care needs. We are currently seeking highly motivated Relief Support Workers to join our friendly service in Morecambe, Lancashire.
We are looking for respectful, warm and enthusiastic individuals to work in our Morecambe service that provides person-centred support to individuals who have a learning disability and live in supported housing. Some of the people we support may also have a range of additional support needs including mobility and health issues. You will have the opportunity to support individuals with the wide range of activities that they enjoy, including going to the gym, to the beach and on days out. Days are rarely the same, and the support we provide is life-changing, so this is a rewarding and exciting career opportunity.

As well as providing direct care and support, you will have the opportunity to act as a Key Worker supporting people to achieve their dreams and ambitions.
Relief Support Worker Duties:
• Providing personal care to service users,
• Medication administration,
• Developing and sustaining warm and trusting relationships with service users,
• Promoting choice and supporting service users to make their own decisions,
• Supporting individuals to access their own community, e.g. going to the pub, the gym, and on days out in and around the Morecambe area,
• Carrying out general administrative duties and supporting with domestic tasks.
Experience of working with people who have a learning disability is essential for this role. It is also vital that you can demonstrate a ‘can-do approach’, person-centred values, compassion and commitment. You will be reliable and dependable, as consistency allows our service users to feel safe. You should also have a positive outlook on life and a fun personality. You will be paid on a weekly basis.
The service locations are convenient for those relying on public transport, as they are close to bus stops.
