Do you have the commitment and positive values needed to make a difference at our service in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria? We are currently recruiting for a Support Coordinator to join our welcoming team, and manage our Support Workers in their roles.

As a Support Coordinator you will work within our Supported Living service which provides 24 hour support for 5 individuals with a range of support needs, including learning disabilities and autism. Some of whom may also have acquired a brain injury. You will supervise and manage an established team of staff, providing person-centred support that enables those we care for to maintain their independence and enjoy opportunities for personal development. Your role will combine the provision of direct care and support with the staff management and coordination of this service.

Your role will include:
• Providing excellent, person-centred support to service users
• Ensuring the smooth running of the service
• Supervision of staff and management of staff rotas
• Attending meetings and reviews, reviewing and updating key documentation
Full time hours (37.5 hours per week), to be worked flexibly according to the needs of the service to include daytimes, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. You will also be required to work as part of the local on-call.
You will need to have prior relevant experience in social care and have an understanding of the needs of people with learning disabilities. It is essential that you have a minimum of NVQ3/H&SC Diploma Level 3 or equivalent and be willing to train to level 5.
