Creative Support, a not-for-profit provider of social care services, is currently recruiting a Waking Night Concierge in Blackpool for service users with complex needs and dual diagnosis. The Blackpool service provides accommodation based support for people with a range of support needs including mental health issues, learning disabilities, drug and/or alcohol misuse issues, people with complex needs and people with an offending history.

Waking Night Concierge Duties:
– Being a point of contact for tenants
– Responding to maintenance and health and safety issues that may arise
– Securing and patrolling the buildings & monitoring access and egress
– Conducting security checks
– Lone working

You will work alongside a dedicated team of staff to provide a person-centred focused support service that enables our service users to develop the necessary life skills for independent living. You will manage building security and act as an initial contact for service users when on duty. You will support people to access other services that will be beneficial to their physical, emotional and financial wellbeing and will support people to access meaningful and engaging activities both in the scheme and the local community, with the aim of supporting people to be active and equal citizens.

You must be a positive individual with an empathetic approach to meeting the needs of our service users. It is essential that you are able to work independently, using your own initiative, and work as part of a team. You must possess good verbal and written communication skills. Experience of working in a community-based service is desirable. The ability to drive is preferred for this role.

You will be contracted to 42 hours per week and will work on a four on, four off shift rota.
