The Journey2Med Conference is an annual event that brings together aspiring medical students from underrepresented and unsupported backgrounds to learn more about the medical school application process. The conference is FREE to attend and is split into two parts: « Thinking of Applying » and « Smash Your Application Process. » The conference includes informative presentations, panel discussions and Q&A sessions.
💙WHO?
This conference is aimed at students entering Year 11, Year 12 and Year 13 in September 2024, however, all aspiring medics are welcome to attend!

💙WHY WIDENING PARTICIPATION MATTERS:
The aim of widening participation is to ensure that all those who have the ability to attend medical school have the opportunity to do so.
With an increasingly diverse general population, it is vital that the medical workforce is representative of the patients served. Widening participation helps young people from disadvantaged backgrounds realise their ambitions and achieve their full potential.
