Job Description
The role of Care Supervisor will be office based Monday to Friday, which will include being one of the on call team members, on a rota basis. Good rates of pay, work pension and holiday entitlements included.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Ensure the Service Users are receiving person-centered care.
Ability to prepare care plans furthermore, dealing with updates and also start new packages when required.
Flexibility to provide support as a senior carer to cover visits where needed.
Liaising with Service Users directly both at the start of their service and throughout the duration of the service.
Conducting assessments and quality reviews on a regular basis.
Supervising and managing the care staff, ensuring they are adhering to the required quality and legal standards within their job role.
Working closely with the Registered Manager to effectively plan the care service.
To cover staff sickness and also staff holidays.
Providing guidance, training and shadowing to the care team.
To carry out individual supervisions, spot checks and mentoring.
To represent the Company in a professional manner at all times, on the telephone, face to face or in written communication.
Professionally and promptly answer telephone calls, ensuring people are spoken to in a polite and respectful manner.
To maintain confidentiality at all times and carry out the Company’s Confidentiality Policy
The main requirements for the role are:
Experience of home care delivery in the domiciliary care profession.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent problem solving skills.
The ability to build a professional working relationships with service users and colleagues.
Excellent understanding of English language, both written and spoken.
A valid driving license and a car owner, good knowledge of the Preston and surrounding areas.
An even-tempered and patient nature, having the ability to adapt to each individuals needs using empathy where required.
Competent IT skills are essential as well as a good understanding of Health and Safety.
Hold Level 3 Health & Social care qualification, or working towards gaining this
