About us
My Life Legacy was established in 2012 as a result of a group of people with disabilities and their families wanting something different to traditional types of health/social care services and wanting more choice and control over their own lives. My Life Legacy is a highly respected local charity. Our employees stay with us and many move up the career ladder. My Life currently provides care and support to a growing number of individuals who have complex health and social care needs across the Northwest of England. Your Responsibilities

We have a brand new vacancy working with our members in the ‘Pop Up Café’ and supporting them to progress within our catering and hospitality pathway. You will be working 1:1 with some members and at other times you will be facilitating group sessions. As a Support Worker in My Life, your role will be a varied one, no two days will be the same! My Life provide meaningful person-centred support activities at our Standish site, which is set in 84 acres of beautiful farmland.

What you’ll need to Succeed
In order to succeed, you will have experience of working in a similar Support Worker role working with young people and/or vulnerable adults. Ideally you will also have experience of working within a restaurant/ café or a similar catering / hospitality environment as we want to ensure the members you are supporting benefit gain real life and work skills based upon your excellent knowledge of catering and hospitality. You will have experience supporting people with Learning Disabilities, Autism and/or health needs and you will be a highly motivated, inspirational individual with the ability to work with a range of people.

The salary will be up to £11.44 per hour, depending upon experience, plus a competitive benefits package.
