My Life was established in 2012 as a result of a group of people with disabilities and their families wanting something different to traditional types of health/social care services and wanting more choice and control over their own lives. My Life currently provides care and support to a growing number of individuals including children, young people and adults who have complex health and social care needs across the Northwest of England.

About the Team Manager Role:

As a Team Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of dedicated staff, ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of our services. The Team Manager will play a key role in staff development, operational management, and service improvement, making sure My Life meets its goals and continues to positively impact the lives of those we support.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, manage, and support a team of staff to deliver high-quality care to individuals we support in the community.
Build strong relationships with the families and individuals we support, and your key packages which will include 2 – 3 individuals and managing up to 20 staff members across those packages.
Provide day-to-day management, including performance reviews, training, and mentoring.
Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery, ensuring that targets and objectives are met.
Monitor and report on the team’s performance, ensuring compliance with all policies and regulations.
Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring cost-efficient operations.
Support My Life’s wider goals by contributing to community engagement and advocacy efforts.
About You:

We are looking for an experienced, compassionate, and highly motivated Team Manager with a passion for the charity sector. As Team Manager you will have excellent leadership skills, be a great communicator, and can inspire and motivate a team. Ideally, you will have experience as a Team Manager in the care sector or projects within a charity or community-based setting.

Proven experience in a leadership or managerial role, ideally within the charity sector or social care.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, senior management, and stakeholders.
A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
Experience in budget management and resource allocation.
Understanding of safeguarding, data protection, and compliance in a charity setting.
Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities.
Knowledge of learning disabilities, complex care needs and/or mental health.
Health & Social NVQ Level 3, 4 & 5 or willing/working towards Level 5 or equivalent.
