Overview of programme:
The aim of this unit is to develop the learner’s awareness and knowledge of basic skills to get into counselling.
You will:
Know about the responsibilities of the adult social care worker
Know about the role of the adult social care worker
Know the communication skills needed in adult social care
Know how adult social care workers can meet the communication and language needs of individuals
Know the importance of record keeping in adult social care settings
Target audience:
- Adults currently unemployed and looking for work
- Adults in part time work looking to change careers for a more fulfilling full-time role
- Adults looking to change careers
